Delegate Well-being

As the awareness of employee well-being comes to the forefront of working life, we can ensure your delegates will receive the same high standard of care and support at your next event, here at Northumbria University.

"Even if you’ve never had issues with your mental health, a long-awaited event can be overwhelming. But a universal commitment to well-being helps every attendee to boost their focus and engagement, whatever their background." Birmingham University, 2019

We have a number of options and suggestions to help create a contemporary & caring environment to improve delegate well being and boost engagement, through our brilliant, state of the art facilities and experienced event managers.

Healthy food

Our knowledgeable and experienced Chefs are on hand to help develop your bespoke menu. We will guide you through the range of alternatives, creating a hearty and delegate-fuelling menu; take a look at just some of the suggestions below:

  • Offer delegates a range of delicious meat-free options for delegates to enjoy.

  • Swap those sugary mid-afternoon snacks for some more substantial and body beneficial.

  • Allow your guests to feel welcome with our subtle and inclusive allergn alternatives.

With so much choice to offer your delegates, a bespoke, health orientated menu will be the cherry on top of the cake for your next event at Northumbria University.

Breakout Spaces

We understand the needs of delegates may vary from event to event or even day-to-day, so we ensure our range of breakout spaces are no exception. When discussing your venue of choice, why not enquire about the spaces we can offer your delegates to network, relax, reflect and engage.

Sport Central Delegate Pass

Exercise has endless benefits for both the body and mind. Offering your delegates a pass for Sport Central can help improve concentration, reduce anxiety and boost the self-esteem of your guests.

Regardless of the demographic of your next event, the extensive and accessible facilities available at Sport Central can give your next event the added edge you've been looking for! Contact us today to find out more about our Sport Central delegate passes.

Fresh Air

It is not just the stunning venues we have to offer here on campus; the outdoor spaces connecting our buildings can offer your delegates a much-needed leg stretch or breath of fresh air between talks. Encouraging delegates to explore our beautiful grounds and pedestrianised spaces can reduce anxiety, allow for a time-out from large groups and boost one on one networking opportunities.

"Studies show that outdoor spaces have a positive impact on health and well-being. This includes increased happiness, better creativity, improved memory alongside lower stress and blood pressure." Conference News

Green Spaces

In addition to the architecture of the city campus, we have several green spaces across campus, the details of which can are in our Connecting with Nature Blog.

Our sustainability teams continuously work to improve the quality of our beautiful green spaces on campus. So whether you are looking to plan an outdoor meeting, drinks receptions or your whole event, we have plenty of options on offer.

"Natural environments are known for being restorative, helping to introduce feelings of calm while increasing energy levels." Conference News

Lactation Rooms

We offer private and accessible rooms for mothers to pump or breastfeed. We will arrange a room close to the main event venue, with privacy, plug sockets and washing facilities. If you have any questions regarding this, contact us today.

Charging Points

As standard, we have plug sockets across campus, portable charging stations available for hire and complimentary charging points within our catering outlets, allowing your delegates to relax knowing they can stay in touch both in and outside the conference.
